Vince and Marianne made it into Glasgow at 12:03 PM. They were feeling good but really feeling the heat. The humidity is getting to them but with the help of cold rags and lots of water they are still going strong! They rested a bit and we got them lunch to go and they went back out on the river at 12:51 PM. This next leg will be one of the hardest of the race seeing that it is very long and hot but we have total faith that Vince and Marianne can totally rock it :)
how come no one else is commenting? am i the only one reading this blog?
ReplyDeleteThere were a few other comments. But Claire's writing is so clear that no one has to ask any questions, so the source of many comments is eliminated.
DeleteFirst time I've checked the blog - been watching them on the map, with their spot tracker. Right now they're just upriver from Lisbon Bottoms. In 2010 a couple of people got sucked into this chute, spent a couple of hours on top of a log jam waiting for a rescue boat, and lost their canoe completely. STAY TO THE RIGHT, guys! Hopefully the lower water will have this hazard dried up this year.
ReplyDeleteWish I could be on the river with ya.
